The annual IPOS World Congress of Psycho-Oncology has attendees who work in psychosocial cancer care. These attendees represent diverse fields from more than 50 countries who dialogue about improving cancer care on an international level and developing strategies to add psychosocial issues to all aspects of cancer control. The attendees include, but are not limited to, those who work as physicians, social workers, nurses, psychologists, rehabilitation specialists, epidemiologists, social scientists and educators.
The theme of the Vienna Congress is “Multi-disciplinary
Perspectives in Psycho-Oncology: Interaction and Integration.” The
program will be rich in content that is
appealing to non-mental health professionals such as nurses and
oncologists but
also vital in helping psycho-oncologists build and work effectively as
part of
multidisciplinary cancer care teams.
